Tenger Thrive is a Game Changer!

When I was at Bluewolf, I learned the value of telling stories. Eric Berridge is a master storyteller! Back then, Bluewolf held onboarding in NYC, and Eric visited for a session during my onboarding. He spent the entire hour telling a story about how he had to ask his Uber driver to help him out of a difficult situation that had nearly nothing to do with driving a car. I spent the hour both entertained and wondering how that had anything to do with Bluewolf. But, it did. It was a story about finding a way, and about trust, and about resourcefulness.

I'm no master storyteller. Not even close. But, I do love to tell stories. And, when I decided to write  a blog about our newest offering, Tenger Thrive, I did all of my research, found useful statistics, and compiled all of the relevant points I wanted to cover. But, I couldn't think of a story. Writer's block, I suppose. My kids had just gotten home from school, so I wandered into the kitchen where they were not-so-sneakily snagging some of their Halloween candy and announced, "I need a story."

Kendra, my wife, walked in, so I explained the premise to the three of them. "I need a story," I repeated. "Something that I can relate to our offering in my blog." Before they could roll their eyes and walk away, I continued. "Like, people are really good at something in a company. But, they have all of this stuff that they have to deal with that keeps distracting them from doing what they're really good at. It would be so much better if they just pay someone to take care of those distractions. And, the person they pay would probably be far better at taking care of those distractions anyway!"

Kendra rolled her eyes and started cooking dinner. Abigail laughed at me. Gabriel wandered into the living room. "Fine, I'll come up with a story on my own." I walked back to my office and was about to sit down when I noticed Gabriel in the doorway.

Tenger Thrive
is about
taking care of
your IT needs

"How about when I took care of the neighbor's dogs?" he asked. I raised an eyebrow, so he explained. "They wanted to go on vacation and needed someone to take care of their dogs. I don't know if I can do it better than they can, but they were able to go on vacation without the distraction of taking care of the dogs."

So, that's my story. Tenger Thrive is about taking care of your IT needs - everything from supporting your team on your CRM platform, such as Salesforce, an ERP system, such as NetSuite, to helping your team figure out why they can't load a file onto the server. It includes anything technical, short of hardware and networking. We've helped clients set up their Microsoft Azure accounts, solve longstanding security issues with their RDS server, formulate a data governance strategy, and much more. In essence, Tenger Thrive is outsourced IT, but better.

Well, for one, unlike Gabriel, I am absolutely sure that we can do it better than our clients. We have amazing clients (truly!), but we are very intentional about providing them with real specialists. If they have UKG, we support them with a UKG specialist. If they need help with Hubspot, they get a Hubspot specialist. And, those specialists stay delegated to that client, learning their business and needs more and more over time. Through Tenger Thrive, they get all of the specialists they need doing whatever they need. And, they only pay for the time they need.

Tenger Thrive is a proven program with a well-defined methodology that's structured to help our clients get the most from their technology, providing support, development, design, and strategic expertise. Whatever you need.

The coolest thing about Tenger Thrive is that our clients don't pay for anything they don't need. It's a single rate - so they can request a Salesforce Architect as easily as they can get simple IT support and there's no additional cost. And, it allows unused hours to roll over each month. Conversely, you can borrow from future months. Super-simple!

What’s Best for You!

At Tenger Ways, we are obsessed with doing what's best for our customers. So, when we built Thrive, we constructed it entirely from our client's point-of-view. We looked at traditional managed services offerings and realized how client-unfriendly they are, locking businesses into a use-it-or-lose-it tier of hours for extended periods of time. We looked at staffing and saw that the lock-in was a real risk and full-time was unrealistic when most mid-sized businesses just need a few hours of specialized expertise here and there for most of their applications and IT needs. We looked at contracting and determined that it lacks transparency and doesn't provide the on-demand service that businesses need.

Additionally, we realized that we don't care that we could lose money in many scenarios.  If you only used Tenger Thrive for architectural services, we would absolutely lose money. But, it doesn't matter. If we stay obsessed with doing what's best for our customers, then our customers keep using us for more and more. We've proven that - case study coming soon!

So, Gabriel, there you go. Thanks for the story. It was a great analogy. Provide a service that's convenient, rewarding, and frankly better and easier than people can do on their own, and it's bound to be a success.

Is Tenger Thrive a Fit for You?

Oh yeah, I almost forgot about all of those useful statistics and relevant points I wanted to cover. I'll give the high-level, but give me a call and I'll go into more detail. High-level, Tenger Thrive is perfect for SMBs. If you have 60 employees like our first Thrive customer did - or 6, or 600 - Thrive works for you. If you have IT staff, great, our first customer had IT staff and a managed service provider. We now augment their staff with our specialists and we entirely replaced their traditional managed service provider. Tenger Thrive is a proven framework with proven methodologies. We learned from the best, building on my experience at Bluewolf and IBM while integrating Adrienne's experience in product engineering.

And, a few statistics that might interest you:

  • 43% of cyber-attacks target SMBs - based on our experience, they're easy pickings (Accentrue)

  • Over 76% of SMBs report at least one cyber-attack since 2021 (StrongDM)

  • 33% of Salesforce Apex code contains security issues (Hubbl)

  • 60% of SMBs that suffer a cyberattack go out of business within six months (Microsoft)

  • 88% of SMBs use a managed service provider, but less than 25% are satisfied with the level of service that they are receiving (Forbes)

  • 62% of SMBs believe that AI can help them improve decision-making (IBM), and 51% are already trying to use AI for improving customer experience (Salesforce)

  • Good data hygiene improves productivity. In fact, 84% of companies that undertake data hygiene improvement initiatives experience an increase in revenue. (Experian). Conversely, poor data quality costs the US economy around $3.1 trillion per year. (IBM).

  • Poor data quality is the primary reason for 40% of all business initiatives failing to achieve their targeted goals. (Gartner)

  • SMBs that adopt good technology practices grow 2.5 times faster (McKinsey)
